Miss H asked me to shorten one of her favorite skirts. Fortunately, the pleats started at about 1/3 of the way down from the waistband. I just cut about 5" off the top of the skirt and replaced the elastic. I think it took about 10 minutes.
Greetings! Lady M at your service. How sweet of you to drop by my parlor. I do hope you'll peruse my various adventures in sewing, crafts, and what-not. If you're interested in Steampunk, Japanese Lolita and manga, or thrifty living, we're sure to be kindred spirits.
All things historical fascinate and inspire me. The Regency, Victorian, Edwardian, and WWII periods are my favorites. I'm also highly influenced by Scandinavian, German, Gaelic, and Japanese languages and cultures. I enjoy the challenge of repurposing second hand goods, as well as, tending my small flock of chickens, decorative painting, and gluing anything that stays still too long!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
P.S...Drop by my recipe cottage too.
